OUR PROGRAM
We use Abeka Curriculum which was established in 1972 at Pensacola Christian Academy and has been used to educate millions of students in both home schools and Christian-based schools. What started with basic phonics-based reading and traditional arithmetic procedures has grown to comprise tried and true methods in education.

Mineral Springs UMC Preschool
may just be what you’re looking for!
Once described by a former preschool parent as “the best kept secret in Mineral Springs,” we’re only a short drive from Waxhaw or Wesley Chapel at the corner of Hwy 75 and Potters Road South at 5915 Old Waxhaw-Monroe Road. We were established in 1997. Margaret Worley is our director.
Welcome to Mineral Springs UMC Preschool!
We strive to provide an environment where children are free to express themselves and are encouraged to make age-appropriate choices. A place that is physically safe and healthy, welcoming to the children as well as their families. We encourage our children to know God and pray; we also value open communication so that we may provide encouragement to families while also producing a loving and nurturing atmosphere. This program is designed to meet the needs of the whole child. Our program will include activities that will help the child grow in the following areas:
SPIRITUAL
To help children become aware that they are children of God, and that they are worthy of love and acceptance. They will experience Bible stories, say prayers and blessings, sing songs, and play games that will help them learn about God.
SOCIAL
To help children feel comfortable in school, trust their new environment, make friends, accept others, and learn to follow directions.
EMOTIONAL
To help children develop self-confidence, independence, self-control, and have positive attitudes.
PHYSICAL
To help children increase their large and small motor and muscle skills and feel confident about what their bodies can do through both indoor and outdoor activities.
COGNITIVE
To provide a learning environment in which children learn by playing, exploring, experimenting, sharing, speaking, and dramatizing. They will explore basic skills such as colors, shapes, numbers, and the alphabet, introduced in a way that makes learning meaningful and fun, as well as encourage creativity through music, art, drama, and literature.
